The tournament for 2020 was canceled due to Covid-19 and again in 2021 when the second attempt was made to run it. The world championship will return to Denmark in 2022 but France has made a bid to host the event in 2024 and the proposal has been granted.

Our team members are:

Sverrir Gunnlaugsson – Pilot / Team manager Sverrir has been in involved RC since the 1990’s. He started flying gliders around turn of the century and entered his first nationals in 2000. His current fleet is made up of a Respect EVO’s. He has represented Iceland at the 2016 and 2018 W.Ch.

Erlingur Erlingsson – Pilot Erlingur has been flying gliders since his teen years and is still going strong! Impulse-2 is his prefered plane at the moment but rumour has it he might be Freestyling it soon. He has represented Iceland at the 2016 and 2018 W.Ch.
